The N.E.S.B.C. was organized in 1946, it's objective being "to do all things to encourage ownership of, to better the standard of, to advise on the upkeep of, and promote the welfare of ...the Saint Bernard."
Membership in the club is open to all who are in accord with these objectives; ownership of a Saint Bernard is not a condition of membership. Our membership includes individual pet owners, breeders and judges. Interest range from the care of the house pet to breeding, showing, obedience training and so forth.
We publish regularly an informative bulletin about club and breed affairs, The Saint Sentinel. We exchange publications with other Saint Bernard organizations throughout the United States so that our members may have a broad view of Saint Bernard news and activity from all over the country. We hold meeting four - six times a year at various locations throughout New England.
In 2009 we will be working in collaboration with the Northern New Jersey and Finger Lakes Saint Bernard Clubs to host the first annual 3 day 5 show cluster, The Greater Northeast Saint Bernard Extravaganza.
This is an active, growing club and one of the largest Saint Bernard organizations now in existence.
We'll welcome your application for membership.

CH Rasko v. d. Reppisch Paul Forbriger of Waldeck Kennels
Norman F. Keller of Tall Maple Kennel
One of the most famous Saint Bernards in breed history won Swiss Sieger titles in 1931 and 1932 and also Best of Breed at the U.S.A. National Specialty Show in 1935.He was imported by Mr. Paul Forbriger of Waldeck Kennels, of Brooklyn, New York in 1933.Rasko was an outstanding dog in every respect. Many feel he is the dog closest to the Standard of all times. His influence on the Saint Bernard breed in America was immense. Many of the most famous bloodlines of today can be traced back to dogs sired by Rasko.
Several weeks after he arrived he was Best of Winners at Westminster followed by a Working Group First at Newark which was followed by many other group placements. He was never able to obtain a Best in Show award, but many feel this was almost impossible accomplishment for a Saint Bernard at that period in time.Rasko completed his championship in a week and a half of competition. Later in life Rasko was owned by Norman F. Keller of Tall Maple Kennel.
